Varsity Tennis
Wofford Tennis Coach Rod Ray has been coach at Wofford for more than 20 years. Prior to that Ray was Director of Tennis at Lexington’s Topspin Racquet Club. He has been a prominent fixture in SC tennis, serving as coach for the SC Junior Davis/Federation Cup Team, USTA Junior Player Development Program, Zonal Coach, and as president of the SCTPA. In 1998, Ray was named South Carolina Tennis Association Professional of the Year. USTA Collegiate Hubs
College and University tennis venues can be an excellent asset to connect the community and become a source of additional revenue while not impacting university priorities. Tennis is a connective tissue to faculty, staff, the student body and the community.
The USTA has tools, resources and expertise to assist colleges with the creation of proven revenue driving and community engaging programming, membership and seasonal court time plans.
