We’re proud to share the latest National Tennis Participation Report on the continued growth of tennis across the country. 🎾
27.3 million people across the country stepped on a tennis court in 2025. That’s six consecutive years of growth. Since 2019, participation has increased by an incredible 54% – nearly 10 million more people stepping onto a court.
The data goes even deeper:
• 14.5 million core players (10+ times per year)
• 5 million first-time players in 2025
• 1+ million additional women on court
• Double-digit growth among Black/African American, Hispanic/Latino, and Asian/Pacific Islander communities
• 25 million non-players who say they’re interested in starting
These numbers represent healthier families, stronger communities, new friendships, and more opportunities happening right here in South Carolina.
At USTA South Carolina, this momentum directly aligns with our mission: is to improve lives and build healthier communities in South Carolina by growing and promoting tennis as a lifelong sport.
Every lesson taught, every league match played, every volunteer hour given contributes to this broader movement. The momentum is real and it’s happening right here at home.
🎾 Let’s keep growing the game of tennis in South Carolina.
