Advancing the Commitment to Education
(ACE)
ACE (Advancing the Commitment to Education) is a vehicle to add diversity to our community of tennis coaches. Arthur Ashe deemed it, “The most comprehensive training program for tennis teachers.”
In partnership with Professional Tennis Registry (PTR), the ACE Program serves as a catalyst for thousands of successful tennis coaching careers.
What is the cost?
With a $100 scholarship from PTR and potential scholarships from other partners, cost can be as low as $67, which will be good for 18 months of membership, education, and a certification workshop, a $419 value! If you are an aspiring coach between the ages of 16-22, you automatically qualify as a PTR On Campus member and will receive an extra $20 off.
What are the requirements to be an ACE coach?
To be an ACE candidate you must be either a coach of color or a coach who intends to work in a diverse program/community. Playing level should be at a NTRP 4.0 or higher, and not be previously PTR certified.
What workshops are offered under the ACE Program?
ACE currently offers education and certification in:
10 & Under Development
11 to 17 Junior Development
Certification in either pathway requires completion of USTA’s Coach Youth Tennis Program. The six required online modules are free and can be accessed by visiting learn.usta.com
