USTA SC, SC Tennis Patrons Foundation & Community Tennis Associations offer Financial Assistance

USTA South Carolina established a COVID-19 Relief Fund to support tennis professionals throughout South Carolina. The fund was established in conjunction with the South Carolina Tennis Patrons Foundation and more than half of the community tennis associations in SC.

The fund, launched April 3, 2020, offered unrestricted, needs based grants to those eligible professionals. By April 30, 2020, USTA SC had made 123 grants to pros through the state.

Disability Insurance
If you’re unable to work due to having or being exposed to COVID-19 (certified by a medical professional), you can file a Disability Insurance (DI) claim. DI provides short-term benefit payments to eligible workers who have a full or partial loss of wages due to a non-work-related illness, injury, or pregnancy. Benefit amounts are approximately 60-70 percent of wages (depending on income) and range from $50-$1,300 a week.

  1. I am interested in donating to the SC Tennis Patrons Fund in memory of a dear friend, Lin Kolb, who recently passed away. She was an active and dedicated volunteer in USTA and organized Adult and Senior tennis leagues in VA, NC and SC. She worked hard promoting tennis and education. I would like to make sure her husband is contacted about this and other donations you may receive in Lin’s memory (SCTPF was listed in her obituary as a charity she wished contributions be made). No address was given, however.

I see where I can donate online, and if that is the best way to donate, where can I give you Lin’s husband’s name, address?

I look forward to hearing from someone soon.
    Many thanks,
    Loretta Beckner
