We’re thrilled to recognize the following incredible individuals who have made a lasting impact on our SC tennis community. From reviving programs to fostering a love for tennis, these leaders shine on and off the courts!
Kyle Beynor (Sumter): Kyle was awarded the 2024 PTR Development Coach of the Year, Kyle revived JTT in Sumter and made it free of charge. Kyle has shown passion and dedication through developing organizing events that foster a sense of community while growing the sport.
Megan Sission (Columbia): Megan was called on to make a ruling and responded in a timely manner, took change of situation, and made a decision quickly. She had a calm authority that ensured fairness while not giving any of the players the ability to argue.
Yann Thefaine (Hilton Head): A USPTA Elite certified professional, Yann has an infectious energy that he brings onto the courts for lessons. From being the first one to show up in the morning to the last one to leave at night, Yann gives so much of his time working tirelessly around the clock connecting with the local community and ensuring tennis smoothly operates at the highest level.
Dick Nemes (Charleston): A true captain and leader, Dick is known for his detailed organization, positive communication, and unwavering commitment to his team. In the 75+ tournament, his leadership led his team to an 4-0 season, inspiring everyone around him.
Tedi Doncheva (Rock Hill): Coach Tedi has energized the Rock Hill Tennis Center with her passion for tennis and community engagement. From organizing USTA Tennis Week to inspiring her Junior Team Tennis players, she instills a love for the game while fostering teamwork and dedication.
