The United States Tennis Association of South Carolina held its third College Showcase for over 23 rising high school juniors and seniors, and their parents as well as 11 college coaches on Saturday, January 4.
The showcase featured both girls’ and boys’ match play as well as a 2 hour Coaches’ Roundtable Discussion and Q&A session for parents and players. Coaches discussed multiple topics, including different divisions of collegiate tennis play, what college coaches are looking for in players, recruitment processes, scholarships/financial aid, and much more.
One of the parents onsite for the showcase shared afterwards that “it was a great event and the information was amazing.”
Don Moody, a USTA South Carolina board member was also in attendance at the showcase and stated, “The College Showcase was awesome. It seemed to be well received by the coaches, parents, and players”.
A tennis coach said, “The South Carolina Showcases are a tremendous opportunity for anyone interested in playing college tennis. April, Amanda and Jerry did an outstanding job of putting on a first class showcase for all levels of players.”
