Our mission is to improve lives by developing and promoting the growth of tennis

COVID-19 Updates – March 20, 2020

Dear USTA South Carolina Family,

The public health situation regarding COVID-19 continues to evolve. We acknowledge the difficult decisions everyone faces with the spread of COVID-19 and recognize the concern and anxiety this virus and its consequences create in our communities.  We care deeply about our tennis community, your health, your well-being and hope everyone stays safe through this ordeal.

Our staff has been busy creating a COVID-19 relief fund for tennis professionals. The needs-based financial assistance program will be offered to South Carolina Tennis Professionals who make their living in the tennis industry in South Carolina, have been drastically impacted by COVID-19 and are experiencing reduced tennis employment opportunities in South Carolina. USTA South Carolina, in conjunction with the South Carolina Tennis Patrons Foundation and the Community Tennis Associations have made contributions toward the relief fund.

For more information about this fund, or to donate, click here.

In the upcoming weeks, USTA SC will host a series of educational webinar trainings. Among other topics, the series will include:

  • 2021 Junior Competitive Structure Changes – Junior Tour and Net Generation Circuit
  • Social Media Tips for CTAs, LLCs, Pros and Facilities
  • Adult Social Play: Engaging the Casual Tennis Player

You can find the full schedule by clicking here.

Currently, the best way to stay connected with our tennis community is through social media. You will find daily activities, tennis challenges and more on Facebook, Twitter and Instagram. Get started here.

There are many uncertainties surrounding COVID-19, but you can count on us to continue working toward the day that we will be back on the courts and enjoying each other’s company. In the meantime, you can reach the USTA SC staff by email or phone, while we continue to work remotely.
